Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. Agreement

By using DirectiveVault, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. DirectiveVault is owned and run by Anvil Road LLC.

2. Not legal advice

DirectiveVault is a storage and reference tool. It is not a law firm. We do not give legal advice. The state information on this site is for reference only. Rules change. Always confirm current rules with your state health department or a licensed attorney before signing any directive.

3. Your documents

You own what you upload. You are responsible for making sure your advance directive is signed and witnessed per your state rules. DirectiveVault does not review or verify your documents.

4. Sharing

You choose who can see your documents. When you invite someone, they get read-only access. You can remove access at any time.

5. Account security

Keep your password safe. Do not share your account. Tell us right away if you think your account has been used by someone else.

6. Age

DirectiveVault is for adults 18 and over.

7. Service availability

We work hard to keep the app running, but we cannot promise zero downtime. Do not rely on DirectiveVault as your only copy of a critical document. Keep a paper copy as well.

8. Limits on our liability

DirectiveVault is provided as-is. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Anvil Road LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to your use of the app.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we will update the "last updated" date and notify active users by email.
